The UAE has announced a major visa update that will go into effect on June 30, 2025, allowing international professionals to enter the country on a Visit Visa for job hunting or short-term work, with no employer sponsorship required. A Game-Changer in the UAE’s Visa Landscape

The newly introduced Visit Visa for Work Purposes is designed to provide flexibility to global professionals and freelancers by eliminating the need for a local sponsor or host. Key features include:

• Purpose: Valid for both short-term employment and job search

• Duration: Single-entry visas for 60, 90, or 120 days

• No Sponsor Required: Apply independently without an employer

• Ideal For: Freelancers, consultants, graduates, and skilled specialists

This is a significant expansion of the traditional Visit Visa and fills the gap left by the previous Job Seeker Visa, which did not permit legal work activities.

Who Can Apply?

To ensure a high standard of applicants, the UAE has outlined clear eligibility criteria:
