EVA Air to Launch Direct Delhi-Taipei Flights

EVA Air is preparing to make a major move in India-Taiwan connectivity by becoming the first Taiwan-based airline to operate direct flights between Delhi and Taipei. The new service is scheduled to begin on December 1 and will run five times a week.

For B2B travel agents, this launch opens up a fresh air route with strong potential across leisure, corporate, and transit traffic. The direct connection is expected to reduce dependency on one-stop itineraries and make Taiwan easier to sell to Indian travelers.

Why This New Route Matters for Travel Partners

The Delhi-Taipei non-stop service is more than just a point-to-point route. It creates a practical gateway for Indian travelers connecting onward to EVA Air’s wider international network, including destinations in North America, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia.

This is especially relevant for agents handling corporate travel, long-haul planning, and multi-destination itineraries. A direct flight can improve booking convenience, shorten travel time, and increase route appeal for price-sensitive and time-sensitive clients alike.

Five weekly flights add flexibility for both business and leisure travelers.
Direct access can improve conversion for Taiwan holiday packages.
EVA Air’s global network strengthens onward-connectivity options.
The route may support both corporate travel and VFR demand.

Taiwan Is Becoming a Stronger Market for Indian Travelers

Taiwan is no longer seen only as a business destination. It is gradually gaining attention among Indian leisure travelers who are looking for safe, clean, and relatively less crowded international destinations.

The market has also been drawing interest from solo travelers and younger audiences seeking a mix of modern city experiences, food tourism, culture, and easy public transport. For B2B sellers, this creates room to position Taiwan beyond traditional corporate demand.

Travel planners can now build more targeted packages around Taipei city breaks, cultural tours, and short-haul international holidays with better air access.

What This Means for B2B Travel Agents

A direct Delhi-Taipei flight can help agents simplify fare comparisons, improve itinerary planning, and present more competitive options to clients. It may also encourage stronger demand from SMEs, corporate accounts, and travelers connecting onward to international hubs.

EVA Air has also indicated interest in working closely with travel partners to develop the route. That opens the door for stronger trade collaboration, better market awareness, and faster route adoption in India.

Corporate travel desks can explore new point-to-point and onward-routing opportunities.
Leisure agents can promote Taiwan as a fresh international destination.
Consolidators may find new demand for flexible fare and connection planning.
Travel partners can leverage the route to build awareness and volume.

KEY TAKEAWAY

EVA Air’s direct Delhi-Taipei launch is a meaningful development for the India-Taiwan market. For B2B travel professionals, it brings a new product to sell, a new destination to promote, and a stronger long-haul connectivity story to present to clients.
