Air India Resumes Delhi-Tel Aviv Non-Stop Flights from December 1

Air India is set to restore direct air connectivity between India and Israel with the resumption of Delhi-Tel Aviv non-stop flights from December 1, 2026. The airline will operate five weekly services, strengthening one of the most important air links for leisure, pilgrimage, corporate, and VFR travel.

For B2B travel agents, consolidators, and corporate planners, this is a significant network update. With Air India becoming the only carrier offering direct flights between the two countries, the route is expected to improve convenience, reduce transit time, and support stronger demand across multiple travel segments.

What the New Flight Schedule Looks Like

Air India’s revived service will operate from Sunday to Thursday using Boeing 777 aircraft.

Flight AI139 will depart Delhi at 5:00 am and arrive in Tel Aviv at 8:30 am.
The return flight AI140 will leave Tel Aviv at 10:30 am and reach Delhi at 7:45 pm.
The total journey time is approximately seven hours outbound and 5 hours 45 minutes inbound.
Five weekly frequencies create better options for business travellers and FIT clients.

The timing of the service is especially useful for passengers connecting onward from Delhi and for travelers who prefer early-morning departures and same-day arrival windows.

Why This Route Matters for India-Israel Travel Trade

The restart comes at a time when Israel is actively deepening its outreach to the Indian market. Traditionally known for pilgrimage and spiritual tourism, the destination is now being positioned more broadly for leisure, family holidays, MICE, luxury, and experiential travel.

This shift is important for agents building diversified Israel itineraries. Beyond Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, the destination offers the Dead Sea, the desert landscapes, Galilee, Eilat, and a growing culinary and urban travel appeal.

Direct access makes Israel easier to sell to first-time travellers.
Shorter travel time improves conversion for premium and short-break packages.
Broader destination positioning creates opportunities beyond religious tourism.
Regular nonstop service supports stronger confidence among corporate and group planners.

Opportunity for Travel Agents and Corporate Buyers

India has long been a key source market for Israel, with nearly 70,000 Indian visitors annually before the pandemic. The return of nonstop connectivity is likely to help rebuild momentum, especially among travellers seeking a hassle-free international option.

For B2B sellers, this is the right time to revisit fare-based packaging, combine destination education with sales outreach, and introduce clients to Israel’s newer travel narratives. Travel agents can also leverage webinars, familiarisation trips, and destination training from the Israel Ministry of Tourism to strengthen product knowledge.

The route may also support corporate travel programs where convenience, schedule reliability, and reduced connection risk matter. For group movement, pilgrimage departures, and premium leisure bookings, a direct flight offers a clear value proposition.

How B2B Travel Professionals Can Capitalize

The route’s return opens several immediate sales angles:

Create refreshed Israel packages with Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and leisure extensions.
Target family, honeymoon, and luxury travellers with curated experiences.
Re-engage pilgrimage groups with improved flight convenience.
Use the direct schedule to promote shorter holiday durations and better yield.

As direct flights restart, inventory planning, airfare monitoring, and timely destination marketing will be essential. Agents who move quickly can capture early demand from clients who had postponed Israel trips due to routing complexity.

KEY TAKEAWAY

Air India’s Delhi-Tel Aviv non-stop service is more than a route relaunch; it is a meaningful boost for India-Israel tourism and business travel. For B2B travel professionals, the resumption creates a timely opportunity to sell Israel with greater confidence, wider product positioning, and stronger client convenience.
