A Major Change for Indian Travelers and Expats in Thailand
A significant shift is underway for Indian nationals, ex-pats, and business travellers navigating consular needs in Thailand. Starting July 1, 2025, the Embassy of India in Bangkok is officially transitioning its Consular, Passport, and Visa (CPV) services from long-time provider VFS Global to Du Digital Global Limited.
This switch marks the end of VFS Global’s role in managing consular applications on behalf of the Indian government in Thailand. From July onward, all services will operate under the new Du Digital system.
New Indian Consular Application Centres (ICAC) in Thailand
As part of the transition, two new Indian Consular Application Centres (ICAC) will serve applicants across Thailand:
Bangkok ICAC
10th Floor, PS Tower, 32/3 Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
Chiang Mai ICAC
1st Floor, Professional Accounting Services Co. Ltd. (PAS), Nong Pa Khrang Sub-District, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50000, Thailand.
These centrally located facilities are designed to offer easier access for Indian nationals requiring passport renewals, visa applications, and other consular services.
Revised Fees and New Appointment System
Under the new arrangement, a service fee of THB 11, plus applicable charges, will be payable to Du Digital Global Limited for processing applications.

Emergency Certificates and Tatkal Services: This can be handled via walk-in services at the ICAC without requiring prior appointments.
